November 2016 American Society of Criminology Meeting

The Smart Policing Initiative participated in three panels and one roundtable during the 2016 American of Society of Criminology meeting November 16-19, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Participants from the Cambridge, Joliet, New Haven, Chicago, Rochester, Milwaukee, Portland, Lowell, and Roanoke SPI site gave presentations on site findings, body worn cameras in SPI, and challenges in organizational change in SPI. Sites completing their SPI project presented on challenges and success in implementing and evaluating crime reduction strategies in their communities. Sites also presented on preliminary findings and evaluation methods of the efficacy of implementing body worn cameras.
