Project Overview
The Anchorage Police Department (APD) is deploying a coordinated community response (CCR) to domestic violence, with an escalated response to high-risk incidents. APD hopes to see the following outcomes: Harm reduction from domestic violence incidents, particularly among serious and/or repeat incidents; reduction in the seriousness of victimization for repeat victims; increase in charges filed by prosecutors given an arrest (successful referrals); decrease in case dismissals; increased victim willingness to seek services; and increased victim satisfaction with the process.
