Project Overview
The Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) plans to utilize new data sources and technology as part of the SARA model approach to understand who the CVPD stops and interacts with. They will identify possible disparities and regularly share this information with the community. Additionally, they will address risk factors that could contribute to disparities through targeted interventions. Lastly, they will document the effectiveness of interventions and create a practitioner toolkit for other jurisdictions. The CVPD hopes to increase their accountability and strengthen the community's trust in the CVPD using data and technology.
